Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dan pengaruh penggunaan buku harian terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks recount di 2 nilai nd siswa SMAN 2 Pandeglang. Peneliti melakukan penelitian kuantitatif metode dengan menerapkan desain eksperimen semu, untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh positif penggunaan buku harian terhadap tulisan recount siswa. Itu peneliti melakukan tes sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Tes tersebut diberikan kepada siswa untuk mengetahui apakah perlakuan tersebut memberikan kontribusi terhadap prestasi dalam menulis recount atau tidak. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua 2nd siswa SMAN 2 Pandeglang tahun ajaran 2014/2015. sampel dari penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI MIA 3 sebagai kelas kelas kelompok eksperimen. Setiap kelas terdiri dari 30 siswa, sehingga jumlah sampelnya adalah 60 siswa. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pada siswa skor tulisan. Rerata skor pre-test kelompok kontrol adalah 52,83 dan eksperimental kelompok adalah 50,83. Rerata skor post-test kelompok kontrol adalah 66,23 dan eksperimen kelompok adalah 70. Hal ini juga dapat dilihat dari skor rata-rata item recount berikut: teks: orientasi dari 13 hingga 17,16, acara dari 18,66 hingga 21,33, reorientasi dari 9,33 hingga 17,16, dan fitur bahasa dari 10,16 hingga 15. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan uji-t independen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa t-test lebih tinggi dari t-tabel (15,83 > 1,672) pada kelompok kontrol dan uji-t pada kelompok eksperimen juga lebih tinggi dari t-tabel (19,83 > 1,672). Artinya hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Jadi, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan buku harian terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks recount pada 2 siswa kelas dua SMAN 2 Pandeglang.

| Additional Information: | The objective of this research is to find out the students’ study result and the influence of using diary toward students’ ability in writing recount text at 2 nd grade students of SMAN 2 Pandeglang. The researcher conducted a quantitative research method by implementing quasi experimental design, in order to find out whether there is positive influence of using diary toward students’ writing recount. The researcher carried out test as the data collecting techniques. The test was given to the students to find out whether the treatment given any contribution to the students’ achievement in writing recount or not. The population of this research was all the 2nd grade students of SMAN 2 Pandeglang in academic year 2014/2015. The sample of this research was XI MIA 1 as the control group class and XI MIA 3 as the experimental group class. Each class consisted of 30 students, so the sample total was 60 students. The result of the test showed that there is an influence in students’ writing score. The mean pre-test score of control group is 52.83 and experimental group is 50.83. The mean post-test score of control group is 66.23 and experimental group is 70. It is also can be seen from the mean score of following items of recount text: orientation from 13 to 17.16, event from 18.66 to 21.33, reorientation from 9.33 to 17.16, and language feature from 10.16 to 15. The hypothesis test used independent t-test. The result of this research showed that t-test is higher than t-table (15.83 > 1.672) in control group and the t-test in experimental group also is higher than t-table (19.83 > 1.672). It means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted. So, the researcher concludes that there is a significant influence of using diary toward students’ ability in writing recount text at 2 nd grade students of SMAN 2 Pandeglang. | |||||||||
