Abstract
Membaca adalah salah satu cara paling umum untuk mendapatkan informasi dan pengetahuan. Namun, tidak semudah kelihatannya. Ada beberapa metode untuk membuatnya siswa lebih mudah memahami teks. Salah satu metode yang menarik adalah CLT metode. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan CLT terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa dalam teks naratif di kelas sebelas SMPN 21 Kota Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kuasi desain eksperimental sebagai metode penelitian. Peneliti melakukan dua pertemuan menggunakan metode CLT sebagai perlakuan di kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang yang digunakan peneliti adalah tes membaca. Setelah mengumpulkan data, peneliti menganalisisnya dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan signifikan pengaruh pemahaman membaca siswa pada kelompok eksperimen adalah signifikan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil uji-t. Peneliti mendapatkan hasil dari signifikansi uji atau thitung sebesar 2,322, sedangkan ttabel sebesar 1,671. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa thitung lebih tinggi dari ttabel (2,322 > 1,671). Oleh karena itu, hipotesis nol ditolak dan alternatifnya hipotesis diterima. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari pemahaman membaca siswa dengan menggunakan metode CLT di kelas sebelas SMPN 21 Kota Serang. Buka di Google Terjemahan •

| Additional Information: | Reading is one of the most common ways to get the information and knowledge. However, it is not easy as it seems. There are some methods to make students easier to comprehend the text. One of the interesting methods is CLT method. The objective of this research was to find out the influence of using CLT toward students’ reading comprehension in narrative text at the eleventh grade of SMPN 21 Kota Serang. This research used quantitative approach with quasi experimental design as a method of the research. The researcher conducted two meeting using CLT method as a treatment in experimental class. The instrument that used by the researcher was reading test. After collecting the data, the researcher analyzed them by using t-test. The result of this research shows the significant influence of students’ reading comprehension on experimental group was significant. It can be seen from the result of t-test. The researcher got the result from significance test or tcount is 2.322, while, the ttable is 1.671. It shown that tcount is higher than ttable (2.322 > 1.671). Therefore, the null hypothesis is refused and the alternative hypothesis is received. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of students’ reading comprehension by using CLT method at the eleventh grade of SMPN 21 Kota Serang. | |||||||||
