Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) perbedaan siswa yang mendapat strategi treatment semantic mapping dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman dengan siswa yang tidak mendapatkan perlakuan strategi pemetaan semantik dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman, (2) interaksi siswa saat pembelajaran membaca pemahaman menggunakan strategi pemetaan semantik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. hasil menunjukkan bahwa data pemahaman bacaan berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Data mengatakan jika x² hitung x² tabel. Untuk pre-test di kelas kontrol data pre-test kelas kontrol 0,426 12,592 dan Post-test 1,318 12,592. Untuk Pre-test di Kelas Eksperimen datanya adalah 2,729 12,592 dan untuk Pre-test adalah 3,109 12.592. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis alternatif ( ) adalah diverifikasi, karena lebih besar dari (4,230 > 1,658). Artinya ada signifikansi pengaruh pemahaman membaca siswa dalam teks naratif setelah mengajar membaca teks naratif dengan menggunakan strategi pemetaan semantik. Dari tes hipotesis diketahui siswa yang mendapat perlakuan pemetaan semantik strategi dalam pengajaran pemahaman bacaan mendapat peningkatan rata-rata yang lebih signifikan skor bahwa siswa yang mengajar dengan Strategi biasa,

| Additional Information: | .This research is aimed at knowing (1) the difference between students who got treatment semantic mapping strategy in learning reading comprehension with the students who did not get treatment semantic mapping strategy in learning reading comprehension, (2) the interaction of students when learning reading comprehension using semantic mapping strategy. This research is quantitative approach. the result shows that the data of reading comprehension has normal distribution and homogeneous. The data said if x² count ≤ x² table. For pre-test in control class the data is pre-test in control class 0.426 ≤ 12.592 and Post-test is 1.318 ≤ 12.592. For Pre-test in Experimental Class the data is 2.729 ≤ 12.592 and for Pre-test is 3.109 ≤ 12.592. The result of hypothesis testing shows that alternative hypothesis ( ) was verified, because was greater than (4.230 > 1.658). It means there was a significance influence of students reading comprehension in narrative text after teaching reading narrative text by using semantic mapping strategy. From the test of the hypothesis is known the students who got the treatment semantic mapping strategy in teaching reading comprehension got more significant increase in average score that the students who taught by usual strategy | |||||||||
