Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan lagu bahasa Inggris terhadap pengucapan siswa di kelas tujuh SMPN 13 Kota Serang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 13 Kota Serang terdiri dari 280 siswa. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode kuasi metode eksperimen untuk desain penelitian yang terdiri dari pre-test, treatment, dan pasca-tes. Peneliti menggunakan tes sebagai instrumennya. Tes terdiri dari tiga kali pre-test dan tiga kali post-test. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kata vokal dengan bahan rekaman. Untuk menganalisis dan menghitung data, peneliti menggunakan rumus t-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif lagu bahasa Inggris terhadap pengucapan siswa. Itu bisa dilihat oleh membandingkan nilai rata-rata setiap pre-test dan post-test. Tes pertama meningkat 1,81 (dari 1,92 hingga 3,73). Tes kedua meningkat 2,23 (dari 2,13 menjadi 4,36). Tes ketiga meningkat 2,45 (dari 2,31 menjadi 4,76). Selain itu, hasil uji-t menunjukkan signifikan pengaruh yang didapat. Tes pertama adalah 22,625, tes kedua adalah 37,16 dan uji ketiga adalah 30,5 dengan t-tabel 2,0622. Jika t-hitung lebih tinggi dari t-tabel (22,625>2,0622), (37,16>2,0622), dan (30,5>2,0622), artinya alternatif hipotesis (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Dengan demikian, Lagu berbahasa Inggris mampu memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap siswa‟Bahasa Inggris pengucapan untuk kelas tujuh SMPN 13 Kota Serang

| Additional Information: | The objective of this research was to find out is there any significant influence of English song toward students pronunciation at the seventh grade of SMPN 13 Kota Serang. The population of this research was student of seventh grade in SMPN 13 Kota Serang consisted of 280 student. In this research, the researcher used quasi experimental method for research design which consisted of pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The researcher used test as the instrument. The tests consisted of three times of pre-test and three times of post-test. The instrument that was used in this research was vowels word by recording material. For analyzing and calculating the data, the researcher used t-test formula. The result of this research showed that there was positive influence of English song toward student pronunciation. It could be seen by comparing the mean score of each pre-test and post-test. The first test increased 1.81 (from 1.92 to 3.73). The second test increased 2.23 (from 2.13 to 4.36). The third test increased 2.45 (from 2.31 to 4.76). Moreover, the result of t-test revealed significant influence that was obtained. The first test was 22.625, the second test was 37.16 and the thirde test was 30.5 with t-table 2.0622. If t-count was higher than t-table (22.625>2.0622), (37.16>2.0622), and (30,5>2.0622), it mean that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. Thus, English song was able to give positive influence toward students‟ English pronunciation for the seventh grade of SMPN 13 Kota Serang. | |||||||||
