Abstract
Menulis adalah bentuk komunikasi yang praktis; menulis adalah proses pendidikan untuk penulis dan pembaca, di mana penulis bertanggung jawab untuk sukses komunikasi. Artinya, menulis merupakan alat untuk berinteraksi atau berkomunikasi dengan lain tentang perasaan penulis dan sesuatu yang dia pikirkan untuk membuat penonton, pembaca, memahami tentang isi atau pesannya menulis. Ada beberapa media untuk membuat siswa lebih mudah memahami teks. Satu salah satu media yang menarik adalah realia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh realia terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks deskriptif di kelas SMPN 1 Kibin Kabupaten Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kuasi desain eksperimen sebagai media penelitian. Peneliti melakukan 7 kali pertemuan menggunakan media REALIA sebagai perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen. Alat yang digunakan yang dilakukan peneliti adalah tes tulis. Setelah mengumpulkan data, peneliti menganalisis mereka dengan menggunakan t-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan dari kemampuan siswa dalam menulis deskriptif adalah signifikan. Bisa dilihat dari hasilnya t-test untuk mengukur signifikansi. Dalam menganalisis data penulis menghitung skor rata-rata pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur kemajuan siswa. Daripada nilai kritis t-tabel. nilai pre-test 1 adalah 65.1.(65.1.>2.042) dan post-test 1 adalah 78,7.(78,7>2,042) pretest II 72,7(72,7>2,042) dan posttest II adalah 80.(80>2,042) dan pre-test III adalah 73,7.(73,7>2,042) dan post-test III adalah 82,6 (82,6> 2,042) Oleh karena itu, hipotesis nol ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif diterima. Jadi, bisa jadi menyimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara realia terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam teks deskriptif. Di kelas VIII SMPN 1 Kibin Kabupaten Serang.

| Additional Information: | Writing is a practical form of communication; writing is an educational process for both the writer and reader, in which the writer is responsible for successful communication. It mean that writing is a tool to interact or communicate with the other about writer’s feeling and something that she or he thinking to make the audience, reader, understand about his or her the content or messages in his or her writing. There are some media to make students easier to comprehend the text. One of the interesting media is realia. The objective of this research was to find out the influence of realia toward students’ ability in writing descriptive text at grade of SMPN 1 Kibin Serang regency. This research used quantitative approach with quasi experimental design as media of the research. The researcher conducted 7 meeting using REALIA media as a treatment in experimental class. The instrument that used by the researcher were writing test. After collecting the data, the researcher analyzed them by using t-test. The result of this research shows the significant influence of students’ ability in writing descriptive was significant. It can be seen from the result of t-test to measure the significance. In analyzing the data writer computed the average score of the pre-test and post-test to measure the students progress. Than the critical value of t-table. the value of pre-test 1 is 65.1.(65.1.>2.042) and post-test 1 is 78.7.(78.7>2.042) pre-test II 72.7(72.7>2.042) and post-test II is 80.(80>2.042) and pre-test III is 73.7.(73.7>2.042) and the post-test III is 82.6 (82.6> 2.042) Therefore, the null hypothesis is refused and the alternative hypothesis is received. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of realia toward students’ ability in descriptive text. At eighth grade of SMPN 1 Kibin Serang regency. | |||||||||
