Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik jigsaw terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTs AL Khairiyah Rawaarum pada semester I tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Itu peneliti melakukan penelitian ini dengan menerapkan kuasi eksperimen sebagai metode. Di penelitian ini, seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs AL-Khairiyah Rawaarum diambil sebagai populasi. Setiap kelas terdiri dari 30 siswa; satu kelas menjadi kelompok kontrol dan yang lainnya kelompok eksperimen. Sampel sebanyak 60 siswa. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan temuan terhadap pertanyaan penelitian. Itu ditunjukkan dengan skor pre-test dan post-test. Rerata skor pre-test pada kelompok kontrol adalah 50,83 menjadi 64,16 pada post-test. Sementara itu, pada kelompok eksperimen nilai rata-rata pre-test adalah 54,67 dan menjadi 73,33 pada post-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa teknik jigsaw adalah salah satu teknik yang tepat berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa dalam agar siswa menjadi aktif dalam belajar membaca

Additional Information: The aim of this research was to find out the influence of jigsaw technique towards students reading comprehension skill. This research conducted in MTs AL�Khairiyah Rawaarum on the first semester of academic year 2014/2015. The researcher conducted this research by applying quasi experimental as a method. In this research, all the students in the eight grade of MTs AL-Khairiyah Rawaarum were taken as population. Each class consist of 30 students; one class became the control group and the other an experimental group. The sample were 60 students. The result of the research reveal finding to the research question. It was showed by score of pre-test and post-test. The mean score of pre-test in conrol group was 50,83 it became 64.16 at the post-test. Meanwhile, in experimental group the mean score of pre-test was 54.67 and it became 73.33 on post-test. Based on the result of the research, the researcher concluded that jigsaw technique was one of the approprate technique influenced towards students’ reading comprehension in order to be students became active in learning reading
