Abstract
Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengaruh menulis kreatif terhadap siswa kemampuan menulis teks naratif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah menulis kreatif dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis? teks narasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan kuasi eksperimen desain sebagai metode penelitian. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Cilegon, dan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII C sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII A sebagai kelompok kontrol. Kelas dipilih secara acak dari enam kelas. Dengan menggunakan metode ini, peneliti melakukan eksperimen untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen setelah perlakuan. Instrumen yang yang digunakan peneliti adalah tes tulis dan observasi. Setelah mengumpulkan data, peneliti menganalisisnya dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan keterampilan menulis narasi siswa pada kelompok eksperimen adalah signifikan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil uji-t. Peneliti mendapatkan hasil uji signifikansi atau thitung sebesar 2,598, sedangkan ttabel sebesar 2,048. Itu menunjukkan bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (2,589 > 2,048). Selain itu, menulis kreatif bisa membuat siswa menjadi antusias dalam mempelajari teks naratif. Mereka punya yang baru motivasi menulis narasi. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis nol ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif diterima. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan keterampilan menulis naratif siswa dengan menggunakan menulis kreatif pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Cilegon.

| Additional Information: | This research focuses on the influence of creative writing toward student writing ability on narrative text. The objectives of this research is to find out whether creative writing can give positive influence students’ ability in writing narrative text. This research used quantitative approach with quasi experimental design as a method of the research. The population of this research was all of the students of the eighth grade at SMPN 1 Cilegon, and the sample that was used in this research was the students of VIII C as experimental group and VIII A as the control group. The classes were chosen randomly from the six classes. By using this method, the researcher conducted the experimental in order to find out the significant influence in experimental group after treatment. The instrument that used by the researcher was writing test and observation. After collecting the data, the researcher analyzed them by using t-test. The result of this research shows the significant influence of students’ narrative writing skill on experimental group was significant. It can be seen from the result of t-test. The researcher got the result from significance test or tcount is 2.598, while, the ttable is 2.048. It shown that tcount is higher than ttable (2.589 > 2.048). Moreover, creative writing could make students become enthusiastic in learning narrative text. They have new motivation to write narrative. Therefore, the null hypothesis is refused and the alternative hypothesis is received. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of students’ narrative writing skill by using creative writing at the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Cilegon. | |||||||||
