Abstract
The title of this research was “The Use of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model to Improve Students‟ Learning Outcome in PKN Subject.” The objective of this research was to bring the world of learning and to relate students‟ real life so that it increases students‟ learning outcome of PKN subject. Based on the result of research beginning that has done by the researcher, he found many learning problems related how to face students in learning process. To solve this learning problem, the researcher used contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model that aimed to improve students‟ attention, students‟ involvement, and students‟ learning outcome in following learning process in order to get an optimal result in learning. In this research, formulations of the problems are: (1) How to improve students‟ learning activities in PKN subject by using contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model at fifth grade? (2) How to improve students‟ learning outcome of cognitive aspect in PKN subject by using contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model at fifth grade?. This research used classroom action research method consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting step. From the first data, the students‟ passed degree was 45% or from 40 students, the students who passed were only 18 students thus learning process that has done was not yet optimal. After the researcher gave an action by using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in cycle 1, the total of students who passed based on the KKM increased become 27 students or 67,50%, and in cycle 11 increased become 35 students or 87,50%. After the students have given an action by using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in cycle 1, students‟ activity achieved 8 indicators or 66,60%. And in cycle 11 increased become 11 indicators or 91,60%. It can be concluded that the use of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model gave a positive impact through students‟ understanding at fifth grade of SDN Bojong.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian berjudul Penggunaan Model contextual teaching and learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Ini bertujuan untuk membawa dunia belajar dan menghubungkan dengan kehidupan nyata siswa sehinigga meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian awal yang dilakukan diperoleh masalah pembelajaran menghadapi siswa. Untuk mengatasi masalah pembelajaran tersebut peneliti menggunakan model pembelajaran contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perhatian, keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran gar memperoleh hasil belajar yang optimal. Adapun rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah (1) Bagaimana meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran PKn dengan menggunkan model Contextual Teaching and Lerning, dan (2) Bagaimana meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran PKn dengan menggunakan model Contextual Teaching and Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Terlihat dari data awal tingkat kelulusan siswa hanya 45% atau 18 orang yang lulus dari jumlah 40 siswa sehingga proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan belum optimal. Setelah diberikan tindakan dengan menggunakan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada siklus I jumlah siswa yang lulus berdasarkan KKM meningkat menjadi 27 orang atau 67,50%, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 35 orang atau 87,50%. Setelah diberikan tindakan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning pada siklus I aktifitas siswa mencapai 8 indikator atau 66,60% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 11 indikator atau 91, 60%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman siswa kelas V SD Negri Bojong. | |||||||||
