Abstract

The development city getting rapid, traffic more dense, and movement of public with vehicles increase, need more attention and evaluation performance intersections. Effective width of roads unbalanced with traffic’s flow occurred, and signs function less effective causing the queue traffic in intersections. Calculation of performance intersection use MKJI 1997’s guide, and simulation performance intersection using an application ProModel. Evaluation performance unsignalized intersection for finding solutions that suit with characteristic of the intersection where analyzed, so the performance of intersection can maximal to accommodate traffic’s flow occurred. File of this research that got from survey in three times on one day, those are morning, day and afternoon. From this research get value the highest degree of saturation until 1,34, delay of intersection about 1841,044 sec/pcu and opportunities queue 74,769 – 156,305%. Then, alternative solution needed suit with characteristic intersection, as we know the location of intersection in commercial area. Then the first alternative solution is adding wide for every road, about 2 meter for every mayor road and 3,5 meter for minor road just give us degree of saturation 1,24 and delay of intersection 54,518 sec/pcu. And the second alternative solution is adding wide of minor road and make a traffic signal, we get cycle time 90 seconds with three fase and degree of saturation about 0,84 with delay for west road 14 sec/pcu, east road 10 sec/pcu and north road only 6 sec/pcu.

Additional Information: Semakin pesatnya perkembangan kota, arus lalu lintas yang semakin padat, dan pergerakan masyarakat dalam menggunakan kendaraan semakin meningkat, memerlukan perhatian dan evaluasi kinerja persimpangan. Lebar efektif jalan yang tidak seimbang dengan arus lalu lintas yang terjadi, juga rambu yang kurang efektif menyebabkan terjadinya antrian lalu lintas pada persimpangan. Perhitungan kinerja simpang menggunakan panduan Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI) 1997. Evaluasi kinerja simpang tak bersinyal untuk menemukan solusi yang sesuai akan keadaan simpang yang ditinjau, sehingga dapat mengefektifkan kinerja simpang tak bersinyal tersebut dengan arus lalu lintas yang terjadi. Data penelitian didapat dari survey yang dilakukan pagi, siang juga sore di satu hari yang sama. Dari penelitian didapat nilai derajat kejenuhan tertinggi hingga 1,34 , tundaan simpang 1841,044 det/smp dan peluang antrian berkisar 74,769 – 156,305%. Sehingga diperlukan alternatif solusi yang sesuai dengan karakteristik simpang, mengingat simpang berada di lingkungan komersil. Dimana alternatif solusi pertama yaitu pelebaran tiap pendekat, sebesar 2 meter pada pendekat mayor dan 3,5 meter pada pendekat minor hanya mendapatkan derajat kejenuhan 1,24 juga tundaan sebesar 54,518 det/smp. Lalu alternatif solusi kedua yaitu pelebaran pendekat minor dan sinyal lalu lintas, didapat waktu siklus 90 detik dengan 3 fase menghasilkan derajat kejenuhan 0,84 dengan tundaan untuk pendekat barat 14 det/smp, pendekat timur 10 det/smp dan pendekat utara 6 det/smp.
