Abstract

Merak harbor, Banten divided some zones that are divided according to the needs of each a wharf, every year means of level crossing users inflated causing traffic jam and parking lot that is to be laid out well by the increase of port activity users. It will take an impact for their capacity and the rooms for them, so that required of the analysis and research to know if the capacity available is still quite ideal. This research aims to know the setting pattern of parking at the port of Merak and optimization of existing parking lots. This research uses the method of zoning using the associated data collection methods of the harbour manager, the required data in the form of primary and secondary data such as existing harbour Layout, documentation of the real situation and vehicle production data. Divided into three zones in Merak harbor is a function of the pattern of parking lots and parking lots in each vehicle is divided based on the type of car per day and percentage of increase the capacity of parking lot in merak harbor to the process of taking in and out the traffic flow to prevent congestion and problems in Merak harbor
