Abstract
This research aims to determine the effectof the method edutainment (education and entertainment) on the communication skills of ekskresi system in the country sma 1 Baros. The method used in thid study was a quasi experimental design with nonquivalent control group. This research group. This research was done in high school Negeri 1 Baros in the second semester of the school year 2013/2014 with a sample class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 studies were carried out in their written communication skills and oral communication in the students communication skills in both experimental class category (74.18) and sufficient control class category (60.63) while for verbal communication skill after the experimental class were treated edutainment method was (79.69) with good category and grade control with the method of discussion has a value that is (65.92) with both categories. Results of analysis of hypothesis testing usingt test at significance level α = 0.005 significance value (0.00) < (0.005) for writing and commication skills of analysis results of hypothesis testing using t = 0.05, obtained significance value (0.003) < (0.05) so that can be concluded that there are significant edutainment method to used communication skills of student on the concept of excretion system in SMA Negeri 1 Baros.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode edutainment (education and entertainment) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi siswa pada konsep sistem eskrsesi di sma negeri 1 Baros. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimental dengan desain Nonequivalent control group desaign. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Baros pada semester II tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan sampel penelitian kelas XI IPA 1. Penelitian yang dilaksankan yaitu kemampuan komunikasi tulisan dan komunikasi lisan pada kemampuan komunikasi tulisan siswa pada kelas eksperimen kategori baik (74.18) dan kelas kontrol kategori cukup (60.36) sedangkan untuk kemampuan komunikasi lisan kelas eksperimen Sesudah diberi perlakuan metode edutainment yaitu 79.69 dengan kategori baik dan kelas kontrol dengan metode diskusi memiliki nilai yaitu 65.92 dengan kategori baik. Hasil analisis uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikasi α = 0,05, diperoleh nilai signifikansi (0,00) < 0,05 untuk kemampuan komunikasi tulisan dan untuk kemampuan komunikasi lisan hasil analisis uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikasi α = 0,05, diperoleh nilai signifikansi (0,003) < 0,05 .Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode edutainment terhadap kemampuan komunikasi siswa pada konsep sistem eskresi di SMA Negeri 1 Baros. | |||||||||
