Abstract
Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan sikap siswa terhadap membaca sastra dan prestasi membaca siswa. Sampelnya adalah 11 IPA 1 dan 11 siswa IPA 2 SMAN 23 Kabupaten Tangerang. Instrumen yang yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket sikap dan nilai ulangan harian siswa. Itu data dianalisis menggunakan uji signifikansi chi square dan koefisien phi. Itu hasil kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa 5,1% dari peserta memiliki positif sikap dan prestasi membaca yang tinggi, 35,6% dari peserta mengalami sikap positif dan prestasi membaca yang rendah, 5,1% dari peserta mengalami sikap negatif dan prestasi membaca tinggi, dan selebihnya 54,2% mengalami sikap negatif dan prestasi membaca yang rendah. Hasil chi kuadrat (5,31 > 3,841) menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik antara siswa sikap membaca sastra dan prestasi membaca siswa. Hasil dari phi koefisien (+0,06) menunjukkan bahwa hubungan tersebut sedikit positif. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara sikap siswa pada membaca sastra dan prestasi membaca siswa.

Additional Information: | The research objective is to find out the correlation of students‟ attitudes on literature reading and students‟ reading achievement. The samples were 11 IPA 1 and 11 IPA 2 students of SMAN 23 Kabupaten Tangerang. The instruments which were used in this research were attitude questionnaire and students‟ daily test score. The data was analysed using chi square tests of significance and the phi coefficient. The result of the questionnaire showed that 5.1% of the participants were having positive attitudes and high reading achievement, 35.6% of the participants were having positive attitudes and low reading achievement, 5.1% of the participants were having negative attitudes and high reading achievement, and the rest 54.2% were having negative attitudes and low reading achievement. The result of chi square (5.31 > 3.841) showed that there was statistically significant relationship between students‟ attitudes on literature reading and students‟ reading achievement. The result of phi coefficient (+0.06) showed that the relationship is slightly positive. The researcher concluded that there is a significant positive correlation between students‟ attitudes on literature reading and students‟ reading achievement. | |||||||||
