Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi guru dalam menilai kegiatan menulis siswa, untuk mengetahui proses guru menilai secara tertulis kegiatan dan untuk mengetahui cara belajar di kelas, sehingga dapat menunjukkan efek bagi penilaian diri siswa dalam kegiatan menulis di kelas 7 SMP Riyadlul Mubtadiin Pandeglang. Peneliti mencoba menganalisis penilaian guru secara tertulis kegiatan yang dilakukan pada jam 7 th kelas di SMP Riyadlul Mubtadiin Pandeglang. Dengan demikian, penelitian dilakukan dengan observasi atau catatan lapangan, wawancara dan memberikan beberapa dokumentasi. Kemudian data dari mereka dianalisis. Hasil analisis dilakukan dan dilaporkan. Subjek penelitian ini ada di 7 th kelas bahasa inggris guru SMP Riyadlul Mubtadiin Pandeglang. Ada tiga penelitian instrumen. Observasi atau catatan lapangan yang menggambarkan proses belajar mengajar, wawancara dengan guru yang mengajar dan belajar bahasa Inggris, the dokumentasi yang menggambarkan respon wawancara guru dan beberapa gambar menganalisis data, penulis menggunakan deskriptif matriks Miles dan Huberman. Itu Analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan menggambar/verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa dalam SMP Riyadlul Mubtadiin Pandeglang terkait dalam pengajaran menulis sebenarnya guru mencantumkan tiga hal dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar menulis, antara lain: pendahuluan, isi argumen, dan kesimpulan atau ringkasan. Apalagi gurunya memiliki beberapa strategi dalam menilai tulisan termasuk enam jenis formatif penilaian dan semacam penilaian sumatif mereka meminta tulisan kesulitan, daftar periksa, beri tahu tulisan yang benar, beri hadiah, isyarat visual, ulasan sejawat dan rubrik.

Additional Information: The objectives of this research were to know teacher’s strategies in assessing the students writing activities, to know the process of teacher to assess in writing activities and to know the way learning in the class, so it can show the effect for students self-assessment in writing activities at 7th grade of SMP Riyadlul Mubtadiin Pandeglang. The researcher tried to analyze the teacher’s assessment in writing activities which is do at 7 th grade in SMP Riyadlul Mubtadiin Pandeglang. Thus, the research was conducted by observation or field note, interview and gave some documentation. Then the data from those was analyzed. The result of the analyses was conducted and reported.The subject of this research is in 7 th grade English teacher of SMP Riyadlul Mubtadiin Pandeglang.There were three research instruments. Observation or field note that describe the teaching and learning process, the interview with the teacher who has teaching and learning English, the documentation that described the response the teacher interview and some picture.In analyzing the data, the writer used matrix descriptive of Miles and Huberman. The data analysis in this research include to data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the research result, the researcher concluded that in SMP Riyadlul Mubtadiin Pandeglang related in teaching writing actually the teacher put three points in implementing the teaching learning process of writing, including of introduction, argument body and conclusion or summary. Moreover, the teacher had some strategies in assessing writing including of six kinds of formative assessment and a kind of summative assessment they are asking the writing difficulties, check lists, tell the correct writing, give reward, visual cues, peer reviews and rubrics.
