Abstract

This research was aimed to identify the effect of concentration growth regulator IAA and BAP the basic MS medium against multiplication of banana plants by in vitro which was carried out at Laboratory of Biotechnology Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa on November 2013 to May 2014. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which arranged in a factorial and consists of two factors. The first factor was the concentration of growth regulators IAA which consisted of 4 levels ie 0 mg / l, 0.1 mg / l, 0.2 mg / l, 0.3 mg / l. The second factor was a growth regulator BAP which consised of 4 levels ie 0 mg / l, 2 mg / l, 4 mg / l, 6 mg / l so that obtained 16 treatment combinations, each of which was repeated 3 times. The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of shoots, growing percentage of the plant. The results showed that the administering concentration of growth regulators IAA at the age of 8 MST did not have a significant influence on the growth of banana plant height, but the concentration of growth regulators IAA with the number of 0.3 mg / l at the age of 8 MST tend to have an average the number leaves most widely with an average of 7.66 strands.
