Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan tanaman jabon merah asal stek bahan dan berbagai media tanam. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di Baraya Nursery Bogor, Jawa Barat dari Maret 2014 sampai Juni 2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang disusun secara faktorial terdiri dari dua faktor dengan 4 kali pengulangan. Faktor pertama adalah bahan asal stek tanaman yang terdiri dari dua tingkat yaitu stek pucuk dan stek batang pemotongan. Faktor kedua adalah penggunaan berbagai media tanam yang terdiri dari: tiga jenis yaitu, cocopeat + sekam (2: 1), tanah + sekam (1: 1), dan tanah + sekam + cocopeat (1: 1: 2). Parameter yang diukur adalah tinggi stek, jumlah daun, akar panjang, persentase stek hidup dan persentase stek berakar. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan bahan asal stek pucuk (A1) memiliki pengaruh terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman stek yaitu pada umur 1 WAP (5,02 cm); 2 WAP (5,11 cm); 5 WAP (5,75 cm); 9 WAP (8,89 cm); 10 WAP (9,61 cm); 11 WAP (10,19 cm); 12 WAP (10,69 cm). Begitu juga dengan jumlah daun, pada umur 2 WAP (0,96 helai); 6 WAP (1,75 helai). Media tanam berkontribusi untuk semua variabel yang diamati kecuali variabel tinggi potong pada umur 3 WAP (5.10 cm); dan 6 WAP (5,41 cm); dan jumlah daun pada umur 12 WAP (1,93 cm). Interaksi antara asal stek bahan dan media tanam memiliki tidak berpengaruh, kecuali pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 1 WAP (5,05 cm); 2 WAP (5,23 cm); 3 WAP (5,23 cm); 11 WAP (13,36 cm); dan 12 WAP (14,4 cm); sebagai serta parameter jumlah daun pada umur 2 WAP (1,21 helai); 11 WAP (5,82 untai) dan 12 WAP (2,65 untai). Kombinasi optimal tumbuh media dan bahan asal stek diberikan stek pucuk + tanah sekam pengobatan (A1B2).

This study used a randomized block design (RBD) which were arranged in a factorial consisting of two factors with 4 repetitions. The first factor is the origin materials of the plant cuttings which consists of two levels i.e., shoot cutting and stem cutting. The second factor was the use of various growing medium that consists of three types, namely, cocopeat + husk (2: 1), soil + husk (1: 1), and soil + husk + cocopeat (1: 1: 2). Parameters measured were cuttings height, leaf number, root length, percentage of live cuttings and rooted cuttings percentage. The results showed that the treatment of the shoot cutting origin material (A1) has a good influence on the cutting plant height parameter, i.e., at age 1 WAP (5.02 cm); 2 WAP (5.11 cm); 5 WAP (5.75 cm); 9 WAP (8.89 cm); 10 WAP (9.61 cm); 11 WAP (10.19 cm); 12 WAP (10.69 cm). As well as the number of leaves, at age 2 WAP (0.96 strands); 6 WAP (1.75 strands). Growing medium contributes to all the observed variables except for the cutting height variable at age 3 WAP (5.10 cm); and 6 WAP (5.41 cm); and the number of leaf at age 12 WAP (1.93 cm). Interaction between the origin of the material cuttings and growing medium has no effect, except at the plant height parameters at age 1 WAP (5.05 cm); 2 WAP (5.23 cm); 3 WAP (5.23 cm); 11 WAP (13.36 cm); and 12 WAP (14.4 cm); as well as at the number of leaves parameter at age 2 WAP (1.21 strands); 11 WAP (5.82 strands) and 12 WAP (2.65 strands). The optimal combination of growing medium and cuttings origin material was given by shoot cuttings + husk soil treatment (A1B2).
