Abstract

Konsumen akan merasa puas terhadap pelayanan distributor, jika produk tersebut tiba tepat waktu, tepat jumlah dan tepat mutu. CV. Tani Jaya Kota Serang memiliki masalah pada kelebihan persediaan saat terjadi permintaan dan system distribusinya, seperti waktu pengiriman, jumlah dan jenis barang yang dikirimkan pada masing-masing perusahaan tujuan serta biaya distribusi barang. Sehingga mengakibatkan terjadinya kekurangan atau kelebihan persediaan pada perusahaan yang dimaksud. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan penjadwalan aktivitas pendistribusian produk supaya terkoordinasi dengan baik yang terikat dengan biaya distribusi yang minimal serta jumlah yang optimal menggunakan metode Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP). DRP adalah metode untuk menangani pengadaan persediaan dalam suatu jaringan distribusi multi eselon. Pada metode ini menggunakan teknik penentuan Lot Size. Dari hasil penelitian, distribusi pupuk yang dilakukan perusahaan selama tahun 2012 menghabiskan biaya sebesar Rp. 660.452.750. Namun apabila menerapkan metode DRP biaya yang harus dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan sebesar Rp. 591.859.000. sehingga biaya distribusi dengan menggunakan metode DRP dapat menghemat biaya distribusi sebesar Rp. 68.593.750 atau sebesar 10,4 %

DRP is a method for handling the procurement of supplies in a multi echelon distribution network. In this method uses the technique of determining lot size. From the research, distribution of fertilizers by the company during the year 2012 at a cost of Rp. 660.452.750. but when applying the DRP method distribution costs to be incurred by the company Rp. 591.859.000. so that distribution costs by using the DRP can save distribution costs Rp. 68.593.750 or by 10 %.
