Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media flip chart dan papan pamer pada konsep struktur dan fungsi sel. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA N 4 CILEGON tahun ajaran 2014-2015. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas XI. Penelitian ini menggunakan simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA 2 menggunakan media flip chart, dan kelas XI IPA 3 menggunakan media papan pamer. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes Pilihan Ganda (PG), dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata kemampuan kognitif pada pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media flip chart sebesar 70,19 dengan kategori cukup, dan nilai rata-rata kemampuan kognitif pada pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media papan pamer sebesar 66,33 dengan kategori cukup. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis pada taraf signifikansi = 0,05 menunjukan (-1,818) < (-2,006) atau (1,818) > ( ) atau signifikansi (0,075) > 0,05 maka diterima. Dari penelitian diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan kognitif pada kelas Flip chart dan papan pamer

This research aimed to compare the cognitive abilities of students in learning by using media flip charts and show board at the concept of the structure and function of cells. This research was conducted at SMAN 4 CILEGON 2014- 2015 school year. The method used was a quasy experimental method with the entire population of students of class XI. This research used a simple random sampling. Samples were class XI Science 2 using the media flip chart, and class XI IPA 3 using the media show off board. The data was collected using a multiple-choice test (PG), and observation. Based on the research results to obtained by the average value of cognitive ability in learning by using a flip chart at 70.19 media with enough categories, and the average value of cognitive ability in learning to use the media show off board at 66.33 with enough categories. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis at significance level α = 0.05 -t shows tcount (- 1.818) <-ttable (-2.006) or tcount (1,818) > ttable (2.006) or significance (0.075) > 0.05 then Ho accepted. From the above research can concluded that there are no differences in cognitive abilities in the classroom flip charts and show boards.
