Abstract

Identification the levels of dust content in the Silo, one of the power company in the management of coal ( Coal Handling ) as the primary energy was transported to the Unit through many stages so the potential exposure to the dust on this unit needs to be further identified to maintain air quality in the work environment can be well preserved. This research is an observational analytic research with cross sectional approach through sampling methods saturated sampling. Output of bivariates analysis associated with impaired lung function and subjective complaints of breathing are the age of the respondents (p-value = 0.036), tenure (p-value = 0.038), smoking (p-value = 0.028), the levels of silo environmentsdust ( p-value = 0.021) and the completeness of APD (p-value = 0.028). It can be concluded that the levels of dust in the Silo before repairment is 3,005 mg / m 3 ; Subjective complaints of Silo employees respiratory are nasal irritation (55%), sore throat (50%), breathless (40%), cough (20%), coughing up blood (5%), pain phlegm (20%) and chest pain ( 45%); Coal dust levels <3 mg / m 3 has influence on subjective complaints such as irritation of the nasal irritation (p-value = 0.017) andpain phlegm (p-value = 0.04) <0.05; Improvement efforts for Silo plant X environment is the addition of the watering schedule to working environment at 10:00 am with decrease percentage the levels of dust is 31.2%.

Additional Information: Identifikasi kadar debu di bagian Silo pada salah satu perusahaan pembangkit tenaga listrik di pengelolaan batubara (Coal Handling) sebagai energi primer yang ditransportasikan ke Unit melalui banyak tahap sehingga potensi paparan debu pada unit ini perlu diidentifikasi lebih lanjut untuk menjaga kualitasudara di lingkungan kerja ini dapat terjaga dengan baik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional melalui metode pengambilan sampel saturated sampling. Hasil analisis bivariat pajanan debu lingkungan kerja silo (p-value = 0,021), dengan nilai konsentrasi debu 3,005 mg/m3 ; Keluhan subyektif pernapasan karyawan Silo adalah iritasi hidung (55%), sakit tenggorokan (50%), sesak (40%), batukbatuk (20%), batuk darah (5%), berdahak (20%) dan nyeri dada (45%); Upaya perbaikan udara di lingkungan kerja Silo di PLTU X yaitu dengan penambahan jadwal penyiraman jalan pada pukul 10.00 WIB dengan persentase penurunan kadar debu 31,2 %.
