Abstract

PT Duta Sugar International merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi gula rafinasi. Berdasarkan pengamatan, pada bulan April hingga Mei 2014 PT DSI mampu menghasilkan produk mencapai 118 bags hingga 464 bags/hari dengan rata-rata jumlah produk nonconformities sebanyak 25% dari jumlah produksi, presentase ini melebihi batas maksimal nonconformities diperusahaan sebanyak 10%. Salah satu data yang menjadi objek penelitian adalah data produksi gula kualitas R1 dan R2. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengurangi variabilitas produk nonconformities yang terjadi pada proses produksi serta mengevaluasi total manufacturing lead time. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah gabungan antara konsep lean manufacturing dengan menggunakan Quality Filter Mapping (QFM) dan Statistical Process Control (SPC) yang merupakan salah satu elemen pendukung dalam konsep Lean Manufacturing System untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi pada perusahaan dikarenakan banyaknya nonconformities (waste of defect) dengan menggunakan peta kendali u untuk memonitoring proses produksi serta peningkatan performansi pada kualitas. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan dengan penerapan lean dapat menurunkan jumlah produk nonconformities sebanyak 11,63% yang berarti linear dengan peningkatan kualitas produk dengan peningkatan nilai process cycle efficiency menjadi 99,67%, sedangkan Total ManufacturingLead time menurun dari 5308,08 menit menjadi 5292,83 menit dan nilai process lead time menurun dari 31 hari menjadi 30 hari.

Additional Information: PT Duta Sugar International is one of company that produce refinery sugar. Based of the observations, on April to May 2014 PT DSI able to produce reached 118 bags to 464 bags per days by the average number of nonconformities products as much as 25% of total production, this percentage was exceed the maximum limit of nonconformities at the company as much as 10%.One object of this research is quality of sugar product R1 and R2. The purpose of this research is to reduce the variability of the nonconformities product that occur in the process production as an effort to improve the quality and evaluating the total manufacturing lead time. The research method used is a combination of lean manufacturing consepts by using Quality Filter Mapping (QFM) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) that was one of the supporting elements in lean consepts to solve the problems because of nonconformities product that occur in the company with used control chart u to monitor the production process as well as increased performance on quality. The result showed with implementation of lean can decrease total of nonconformities product to 11,63% which means linearly with an increase quality products with increased value of process cycle efficiency to 99,67%, while value of total manufacturing lead time decreased from 5308,08 minutes to 5292,83 minutes and value of process lead time from 31 days to 30 days.
