Abstract
Dian Nurlizta Aryani. NIM. 6662082085. Skripsi. Representasi Pilkada dalam Film “Kentut” (Analisis Semiotik Representasi Pilkada dalam Film “Kentut”). Film Kentut merupakan sebuah film komedi yang mengangkat pilkada sebagai tema cerita. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana representasi pilkada dalam film Kentut. Film diteliti menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes dan dramaturgi Erving Goffman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Analisis semiotika Roland Barthes yang digunakan adalah proses signifikasi dua tahap menggunakan tanda denotasi dan konotasi. Secara denotasi film ini menceritakan permasalahan sakitnya Patiwa yang akan mengikuti pilkada putaran kedua. Secara konotasi film ini menceritakan strategi pilkada dari pasangan calon yang lolos ke pilkada putaran kedua. Sedangkan dalam dramaturgi Erving Goffman penelitian difokuskan pada panggung depan dan panggung belakang tokoh. Masing-masing tokoh memiliki karakter yang berbeda ketika berada di panggung depan dan panggung belakang dan terdapat kesenjangan citra diri di dalamnya. Pilkada direpresentasikan sebagai sebuah praktek politik yang kotor karena banyak unsur negatif ditampilkan melalui film ini. Misalnya praktek politik uang, pemanfaatan popularitas artis, pemanfaatan peran agamawan, dan kuatnya kepercayaan terhadap unsur klenik sehingga respon masyarakat cenderung apatis. Oleh karena itu sineas harus berhati-hati dalam membuat film yang berkaitan dengan kepentingan rakyat seperti pilkada. Karena rakyat cenderung menerima apa yang ditampilkan sebagai bagian dari kenyataan. Penonton juga harus bersikap kritis dan mampu melakukan filterisasi sehingga hanya mengambil hal-hal positif dalam film. Kata kunci: Pilkada, Semiotika, Dramaturgi, Representasi Film

Kentut movie is a comedy film that take the election as the theme of the story. This research aims to understand how the representation of election in the Kentut movie. The film examined by semiotic theory of Roland Barthes and dramaturgy of Erving Goffman used qualitative research. Semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes with two order of signification and the mark of denotations and connotations. The denotation of the film tells about Patiwa who shooted by unkown. The connotation tells about the election strategy of each candidates for the second round of election. Erving Goffman dramaturgical research focused on the front stage and back stage characters. Everybody has each different character in the front stage and back stage. Election represented as a dirty political practice which many negative elements shown in the film. Such as money politic, exploiting artist popularity, exploiting religionist as opinion leader, and the strong belief in the occult elements so that public response shown is apathetic. Therefore, filmmakers should be more careful in making a film which related with the interests of people. Because people able to accept what is shown in the film as a part of reality.
