Abstract
This research is motivated by the lack of comprehension of mathematical concepts and dispositions students primarily related to early mathematical concepts students at one junior high school in Tangerang Regency. Therefore, applying discovery learning in studies. Because this method can improve the ability of understanding mathematical concepts and dispositions of students. This study aims to determine whether the final achievement and increase the ability of understanding mathematical concepts and dispositions of students who received learning with discovery learning is better than the students who obtain the cooperative learning. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental method with cluster sampling, obtained an experimental class and a control class. The instrument used is the ability to test students 'understanding of concepts and instruments in the form of non-scale test students' mathematical dispositions. The results of research and descriptive and inferential statistical test to the conclusion that the ultimate achievement and increase the ability of understanding mathematical concepts and dispositions experimental class students better than the control class.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan disposisi matematis siswa terutama berkaitan dengan konsep awal matematis siswa pada salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Tangerang. Oleh karena itu, diterapkanlah pembelajaran dengan metode penemuan terbimbing, metode ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan disposisi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan disposisi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan metode penemuan terbimbing lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan kooperatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling, didapat satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dan instrumen non tes berupa skala disposisi matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian dan uji statistik deskriptif serta inferensial memberikan kesimpulan bahwa pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan disposisi matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. | |||||||||
