Abstract
This research was aimed to determine the development of student’s skill process in practical work application in fish identification with self-assessment and determine student’s response to the practical activities and self-assessment.This research was conducted by descriptive method. The subject of this research were the students of first gradeof senior high school at Muhammadiyah Cilegon academic year 2013/2014. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instrument that used are selfassessment rubric, questions about process science skills, questionnaire, and report assessment sheet. The result showed that there are increasing in student’s process skill on all aspects with the average value 3,01 The students response toward practical application of the identification by self-assessment was good with the average value 3,19.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan keterampilan proses sains siswa melalui penerapan praktikum identifikasi ikan dengan self assessment serta mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap kegiatan praktikum dan self assessment. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah Cilegon tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian menggunakan rubrik self assessment, soal keterampilan proses sains, angket, dan lembar penilaian laporan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan seluruh aspek keterampilan proses sains siswa yang diukur mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,01. Tanggapan siswa terhadap penerapan praktikum identifikasi ikan dengan self assessment termasuk kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata 3,19. | |||||||||
