Abstract

Generally, a data communications system used to controlling and monitoring the load and sharing files between computers using twisted pair cable, coaxial cable, optical fiber and wireless, that require a lot of new Installations and relatively expensive cost, making it less effective and efficient . For the last paper was made tools Power Line Communication ( PLC ) for a communication system through an electric cable commonly used as devise supply of electrical equipment, can be also used simultaneously as a controlling, monitoring electrical equipment and sharing files between computers . This device consists of a master and slave are each equipped with a microcontroller bias as transmitter and receiver there are two modes, the first mode is as controlling and monitoring electrical equipment both as sharing files between computers, in the PLC communication is alternately Half duplex and using method of modulation frequency Shift Key (FSK ) with a carrier frequency of 125KHz. PLC is capable of sending the data used as the control, monitoring and sharing of files up to the most baudrate 1200 baud/s or bit rate 1200 bps with error 0% and maximum distances 200 meters .

Additional Information: Umumnya sistem komunikasi data digunakan untuk mengendalikan dan memonitoring suatu beban maupun sharing file antarkomputer menggunakan media kabel twisted pair, kabel coaxial, optical fiber dan wireless, yang memerlukan banyak instalasi baru dan biaya yang relatif mahal, sehingga kurang efektif dan effisien. Pada skripsi ini dibuat alat Power Line Communication (PLC ) untuk sistem komunikasi melalui kabel listrik yang biasa digunakan sebagai supply device pada peralatan listrik, yang secara bersamaan juga bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai controlling, monitoring peralatan listrik dan sharing file antarkomputer. Alat ini terdiri dari master dan slave yang masing-masing dilengkapi dengan modem PLC LM1893N dan mikrokontroler, bisa sebagai transmitter dan receiver yang terdapat dua mode, mode pertama yaitu sebagai controlling dan monitoring peralatan listrik yang kedua sebagai sharing file antarkomputer, komunikasi pada PLC ini secara bergantian half duplex dan menggunakan metode Modulasi Frequency Shift Key (FSK )dengan frekuensi carrier sebesar 125 KHz. PLC ini mampu mengirim data yang digunakan sebagai controlling, monitoring dan sharing file sampai dengan baudrate sebesar 1200 baud/s atau bit rate 1200 bps dengan error 0% dan jarak maksimal 200 meter.
