Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, pada materi teknologi produksi, komunikasi dan transportasi serta materi masalah-masalah sosial dilingkungan setempat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 1 Bayah Timur Kecamatan Bayah Kabupaten Lebak Provinsi Banten. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus. Setiap siklusnya terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Instrument pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi aktivitas belajar siswa dan pedoman wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapat peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar. Pada siklus I aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 78 dengan kategori cukup, kemudian mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 96 dengan kategori baik sekali. Pada siklus I hasil belajar siswa yang tuntas sesuai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) sebanyak 18 siswa dengan persentase 58,1% sedangkan yang belum tuntas sebanyak 13 siswa dengan persentase 41,9%, pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan ketuntasan dengan jumlah siswa tuntas sebanyak 26 siswa dengan persentase 83,87% sedangkan siswa yang belum tuntas tinggal 5 siswa dengan persentase 16,13%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model cooperative learning tipe think pair and share (TPS) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial.

| Additional Information: | The objective of this research was to find students improvement in learning activity and the result of learning class IV students toward social science learning, in technological production material, communication, and transportation, and social problems in that environment. This research was conducted in SDN 1 Bayah Timur, Lebak, Banten Province. The subject of the research was students of class IV with 31 number of students. This research was classroom action research which was implemented by applying two cycles. Every cycles consisted of planning acting, observing, and reflecting. The instrument of data collecting technique used test, observation of students learning activity and interview. According to the result of the research, there was improvement in students learning activity and result of learning. In cycle 1, students activity reached score 78 with enough category, than it had more improvement in cycle 2 by getting score 96 with very good category. In cycle 1, students learning. 18 students with percentage 58,1% passed standard minimum criterion, meanwhile 13 students with percentage 41,9% did not. In cycle 2, there was improvement. It can be proven by finding 26 students with percentage 83,87% who passed standard minimum criterion and only 5 students with percentage 16,13% who got unsuccessful. Based on the result of that analysis, if can be concluded that the use of cooperative learning model with the type think pair and share (TPS) can improve students activity and the result of students learning in class IV toward social science learning | |||||||||
