Abstract
Learning in social science teacher typically using methods that are less enable students in the learning process, such as a lecture and answer method and others. Obstacles often experienced during the teaching and learning activities is lack of availability of instructional media, so when doing research in fourth grade of elementary school Citerep Serang City. Many Students are bored with the social studies subjects considered as subject for rote, this study aims to improve learning outcomes and learning activities. To determine the planning and implementation of learning outcomes using scientific approaches to technology and society. Research method used was action research conducted in two cycle of learning outcomes reached 66,07 unity with a percentage of 71,42% while in the second cycle increased to 84,46 with a percentage increase of 89,28% or an increase of 17,86%. While in the first cycle of activity reached 68,62 and in the second cycle increased to 78,30 by either category or increased by 9,68%. So at the second cycle of 28 people saw an increase in students who achieve mastery criteria minimum of 25 people and the students who don’t meet the minimum criteria for completeness only 3 students. Conclusion can be drawn that the science of learning by using technology and society approach can improve the learning outcomes of social studies subject in the fourth grade students to the concept on natural resources in the elementary school Citerep

| Additional Information: | Didalam pembelajaran IPS para guru biasanya menggunakan metode-metode yang kurang mengaktifkan siswanya dalam proses pembelajaran seperti misalnya metode ceramah, metode tanya jawab dan lain-lain. kendala yang sering dialami pada saat kegiatan belajar mengajar adalah kurang tersedianya media pembelajaran, sehingga pada saat melakukan penelitian di kelas IV SD Negeri Citerep Kota Serang, banyak siswa yang merasa bosan dengan mata pelajaran IPS karena dianggap sebagai mata pelajaran hafalan, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar. Untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan Sains Teknologi dan Masyarakat (STM). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan pada dua siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Pada pelaksanaan siklus I hasil belajar mencapai 66,07 dengan persentase 71,42% sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 84,46 dengan persentase 89,28% atau meningkat sebesar 17,86%. Sementara pada aktivitas siklus I mencapai 68,62 dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 78,30 dengan kategori baik atau meningkat sebesar 9,68%. Sehingga pada siklus II terlihat peningkatan pada 28 orang siswa yang mencapai KKM sebanyak 25 orang siswa dan yang tidak memenuhi KKM hanya 3 orang siswa. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan Sains Teknologi dan Masyarakat (STM) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV pada konsep sumber daya alam SDN Citerep Kota Serang-Banten tahun ajaran 2014/2015 | |||||||||
