Abstract
This research was constituted by the low of students' mathematical communication skill, and the important of mathematical disposition in math learning. It is reinforced by the result of field study that showed low communication skill and disposition in one of Junior High School in Serang district. The aim of this research is to know the final achievement and improvement communication skill and disposition which get mathematics learning model portfolio-based assessment through cooperative method. Method that used in this research was quasi experimental method. This research was conducted toward seventh grade students in one of Junior High School in Serang district. Two classes selected randomly from nine classes, they were experimental class which gained mathematics learning model portfolio-based assessment through cooperative method and control class which gained cooperative learning. The data of research was obtained by using test instrument in the form of mathematical communication ability test and non-test instrument in the form of mathematical disposition scale. The statistical test that used was descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, so it can be concluded that the final achievement and improvement of students’ mathematical communication skill who gained mathematics learning model portfolio-based assessment through cooperative method were better than cooperative learning, and the final achivement and improvement of students’ matematical disposition who gained mathematics learning model portfoliobased assessment through cooperative method were better than cooperative learning.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, serta pentingnya disposisi matematis dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hal ini diperkuat dengan hasil studi lapangan yang menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi dan disposisi matematis pada salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Serang. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi serta disposisi matematis yang mendapatkan pembelajaran matematika berbasis penilaian portofolio dengan metode kooperatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas VII salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Serang. Dua kelas diambil secara acak dari sembilan kelas yang ada, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan pembelajaran matematika berbasis penilaian portofolio dengan metode kooperatif dan kelas kontrol yang mendapatkan pembelajaran kooperatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan instrumen non-tes berupa skala disposisi matematis. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial, sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran matematika berbasis penilaian portofolio dengan metode kooperatif lebih baik daripada pembelajaran kooperatif, serta pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan disposisi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran matematika berbasis penilaian portofolio dengan metode kooperatif lebih baik daripada pembelajaran kooperatif. | |||||||||
