Abstract
Control the circulation of traditional medicine needs to be done by the Local Government and implemented so as to protect the rights of consumers. However, there is still a problem in the control of traditional medicine circulation so there traditional medicine in the market. The purpose of this study to determine and analyze control the circulation of traditional medicine by the Food and Drug Administration Center for Banten considering there are still many drug and food products made from medicinal chemistry (BKO), illegal, and expired circulating in the community. The theory used in this research is the theory of supervision of Joko Widodo. The method used is qualitative descriptive qualitative techniques. The final conclusion is that the surveillance conducted by the Center for Food and Drug Administration is not optimal, because the number of human resources supervisor who is still minimal, the lack of completeness of facilities, less inequality dissemination of information on traditional medicine and public warning and monitoring the concentration in one area. The advice given is to the filing of additional staff recommendation to BPOM central personnel agency, the use of social media to socialize, and the filing of an increase in the budget for additional means of transport.

| Additional Information: | Pengawasan obat tradisional perlu dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Daerah dan dilaksanakan dengan baik sehingga melindungi hak konsumen. Namun demikian masih terdapat masalah dalam pengawasan peredaran obat tradisional, sehingga masih ada obat tradisional ilegal yang beredar dipasaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengawasan peredaran obat tradisional oleh Balai Pengawas Obat dan Makanan Provinsi Banten mengingat masih banyak ditemukan produk obat dan makanan yang berbahan kimia obat (BKO), ilegal, dan kadaluarsa beredar di masyarakat. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori pengawasan dari Joko Widodo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitiatif dengan teknik kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu bahwa pengawasan yang dilakukan oleh Balai Pengawas Obat dan Makanan belum optimal, dikarenakan jumlah sumber daya manusia pengawas yang masih minim, kurangnya kelengkapan sarana, kurang meratanya sosialisasi informasi mengenai obat tradisional dan public warning serta terpusatnya pengawasan yang dilakukan pada satu wilayah. Adapun saran yang diberikan adalah melakukan pengajuan rekomendasi penambahan pegawai pada biro kepegawaian BPOM Pusat, pemanfaatan media sosial dalam melakukan sosialisasi, dan pengajuan peningkatan anggaran untuk penambahan sarana transportasi. | |||||||||
