Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of activities and student learning outcomes class VI with an average value under KKM at 65 in social studies. The purpose of this research is to improve the activity and student learning outcomes in social studies using guided inquiry learning model (guided inquiry). Subjects in this study were 20 students. Data collection techniques were used, namely, a written test, interview on pre-cycle, observation, and dokumentation.Instrumen used for data collection which tests students' learning outcomes in the form of a written test and observation sheet. The results showed that an increase in student learning activities and student learning outcomes. In the first cycle the percentage of students learning activities reached 72%, while in the second cycle the percentage of students learning activities increase reached 100%. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle that reaches the KKM (65) is 80% with an average value of students is 68. While the results of the test on the second cycle which reaches the KKM (65) that is 100% with an average value of student learning outcomes are 78. With the success indicator reaches values above KKM as much as 100%. It can be concluded that the application of guided inquiry learning model (guided inquiry) may enhance the activity and student learning outcomes.

Additional Information:	Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa keals VIdengan nilai rata-rata di bawah KKM yaitu 65 pada mata pelajaran IPS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inkuiri terbimbing (guided inquiry). Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 20 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu, tes tertulis, wawancara pada pra siklus, observasi, dan dokumentasi.Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data yaitu tes hasil belajar siswa dalam bentuk tes tertulis lembar dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar siswa. Pada siklus I presentase aktivitas belajar siswa mencapai angka 72% sedangkan pada siklus II presentase aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan mencapai angka 100%. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I yang mencapai nilai KKM (65) yaitu 80% dengan nilai rata-rata siswa yaitu 68. Sedangkan hasil tes pada siklus II yang mencapai nilai KKM (65) yaitu 100% dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yaitu 78. Dengan indikator keberhasilan mencapai nilai di atas KKM sebanyak 100%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing (guided inquiry) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.
