Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of government ownership on stock prices by debt to equity ratio as an intervening variable. The population used in this research are State-Owned Enterprises listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2008-2013 was 20 companies. The sample of this research are 8 companies using purposive sampling method. The analysis method of this research is path analysis. The result of this research: government ownership has a negative effect and significant to stock price (-3.235<-2.013), government ownership has negative effect and significant to DER (-2.317<-2.102), DER has negative effect to stock price (-2.089<-2.013), DER able to mediating the relationship between government ownership with stock price (0.094962>-0.454).
