Abstract

JAENUDIN. 2016. BloodPatternand GrowthofTilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)fedwithSilageof VegetableWaste.Supervised byMUSTAHAL and ACHMADNOERKHAERIN PUTRA. Silage is a product of the processing of materials by the addition of acid or byanaerobic fermentation. Silage can be made from plant material or animal. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the effect of feeding silageofvegetablewaste to the bloodpatterrnand the growth of tilapia. The fishwerefed three timesin at satiation. This study use4 treatments and 4 replication, namely treatment ofA (without the addition of formic acid), B (3 % formic acid), C (4 % formic acid),and D (5 % formic acid). The resultsshowed that the vegetable waste silage cangive a positive response to the growth and blood picture of tilapia. Vegetablewaste without formic acid (treatment A) produces the best value with value oftotal feed consumption 337.5±9.04 g, absolute growth 12.75±0.37g, survival rate92.18±3.12 %andfeed efficiency of 61.04±2.53 % the result ofbloodpattern isthe range of normal.
