Abstract
This research purposes to improve outcomes and activities learning of students in science subjects. The method used is a Class Action Research (CAR). The research was conducted during two cycles, each cycle consisting of one meeting. The instruments used are tests and observation. Results from this study and the results obtained students' learning activities in science subjects has increased. Completeness student learning outcomes which achieve the minimum completeness criteria (MCC) 20% in pre-cycle, 40% in the first cycle, and 93% in the second cycle. Furthermore, learning activities of students who achieve a minimum category value indicator of success 60% in the first cycle and 93% in the second cycle. Based on the results of this study concluded that learning by using a model of the type of group investigation cooperative learning can improve student’s outcomes and activities learning.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari 1 pertemuan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapat hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA mengalami peningkatan. Ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa yang mencapai nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) pada prasiklus 20%, siklus I 40%, dan siklus II 93%. Selanjutnya aktivitas belajar siswa yang mencapai nilai kategori minimal indikator keberhasilan pada siklus I 60% dan siklus II 93%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model cooperative learning tipe group investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa. | |||||||||
