Abstract

This research aims for knowing student learning outcomes by using guided inquiry method on the concept of plant structure by utilizing school environment. The method used is descriptive. Research population is all class student 8 E at junior high school 9 Serang City school year 2013/2014 with research sample class 8 E which taken by purposive sampling. The results of students cognitive learning measured to use objective test. Affective learning outcomes were measured using a questionnaire. The result showed an average of cognitive achievement 78,14 of student who fall in the category of very good. And the value of N-gain of 58,85% with moderate category. For affective assessment result by 45,7% with very good category. It shows that there are significant guided inquiry method to the learning outcomes of students both cognitive and affective on plant structure by utilizing the concept of the school environment in SMP 9 Serang city. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode Inkuiri terbimbing pada konsep stuktur tumbuhan dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Kota Serang tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan sampel penelitian kelas VIII E yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa diukur menggunakan tes objektif. Hasil belajar afektif diukur menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif siswa sebesar 78.14 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori amat baik, dan nilai N-gain sebesar 58,85% dengan katagori sedang. Untuk hasil penilain afektif sebesar 45,7% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode inkuiri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa baik kognitif maupun afektif pada konsep stuktur tumbuhan dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah di SMPN 9 Kota Serang.
