Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of corporate governance to the value of firm with capital structure as an intervening variable. In this study, proxy of corporate governance using 60 indexs of index corporate governance (ICG). Measurement of capital structure in this study uses long term debt to euity ratio(LTDTE). Firm value using price to book value (PBV). Variable control of this study is profitabilitas using return on asset (ROA) and size using logaritma total asset. The samples are banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2009-2013 with a total of 150 samples used were firm observation years. The analysis model used software IBM SPSS version 20.0. Based on the result of multiple linear regression, the study found that corporate governance has not effect on capital structure. Corporate governance has not effect on firm value. Capital structure has a negative effect on firm value. Capital structure has not as variable intervening on effect corporate governance to the firms value. Keywords : Corporate Governance, Capital Structure, Firm Value
