Abstract

This study aimed to describe the comparison made between teaching science learning outcomes between the control class with a class experiment. And to investigate the influence of media use on concrete learning outcomes of students in science subjects. Research methods used in this study is an experimental research method. Experimental research is to conduct experimental research on the experimental groups. The design used in this study is the design of the control group pre-test-post�test. This design uses an experimental class and a control class by giving a pretest to the control and experimental groups before providing treatment, and provide posttest to the experimental and control groups after being given a different treatment. Data analysis was performed by using a statistical test that the data obtained from the pretest and posttest experimental group and the control group. From the calculations have been done obtained t (18.83)> t table (2.021), so it can be concluded that Ho refused. It can be concluded that the concrete media influence on student learning outcomes in science subjects.

Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbandingan antara hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPA antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen. Serta untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan media konkret terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian eksperimental. Penelitian experimental adalah penelitian dengan melakukan percobaan terhadap kelompok-kelompok eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu desain control group pre-test-post-test. Desain ini menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol dengan memberikan pretest kepada kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen sebelum memberikan perlakuan, dan memberikan posttest kepada kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen setelah diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji statistika yang diperoleh dari data pretest dan posttest kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Dari perhitungan yang telah dilakukan diperoleh t hitung (18,83) > t table (2,021), sehingga dapat disimpulkan Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media konkret berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA.
