Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of communication skills and the importance of self efficacy mathematical. Cooperative learning with student facilitator and explaining the model can be used as an alternative solution. The purpose of this study was to examine the achievement and improvement of communication skills and mathematical self efficacy between the experimental group and the control group. This study used a quasi experimental method. Sampling technique using cluster random sampling. The instrument used was a test communication skills, self efficacy scale, and observation sheets. Inferential analysis of the data performed by t-test on the right. The results showed that the final achievement and improvement of communication skills and self efficacy mathematical experimental group was better than control group

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan pentingnya self efficacy matematis. Pembelajaran kooperatif dengan model Student Facilitator and Explaining dapat dijadikan sebagai solusi alternatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menelaah pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi serta self efficacy matematis antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, skala self efficacy dan lembar observasi. Analisis inferensial data dilakukan uji-t pihak kanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi serta self efficacy matematis kelompok eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelompok kontrol.
