Abstract
Nowdays many air conditioning systems used bigest energy and bad for health. One way of air conditioning was by usingthe installation of air conditioning. The aim of this research was to found out the influence of addition of air conditioner toward thermal comfort on the prestasi mesin labolatory. This research was conducted by comparing the initial conditions with the addition of air conditioning variants; Air Conditioning & 3 inhaust fan; Air Conditioning & 3 exhaust fan; Air Conditioning, 3 exhaust fan and open the door; 4792.72 W cooling load initial condition with the best variant of Air Conditioning & 3 exhaust fan 4750.91 W. The Value of PMV and thepercentage of PPD initial conditions 3.94 and 99.99 with the best variant variants air conditioning, 3 exhaust fan and open the door had a value of PMV = 1.375 and the percentage of PPD = 45.035%. The percentage of the initial conditions of relative humidity (RH) = 68.31% with the best variants and 3 air conditioning exhaust fan has a percentage of relative humidity (RH) = 65.72%.The addition of air conditioning has not been gave an impact in reducing the cooling load, has not been effective in improving the relative humidity (RH), but could enough to increase thermal comfort of Prestasi Mesin Laboratory although have not appropriate with the standard ASHRAE.

Additional Information: | Dewasa ini banyak sistem pengkondisian udara menggunakan energi yang besar dan kurang baik bagi kesehatan. Salah satu cara pengkondisian udara yaitu dengan pemasangan penyejuk udara. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemasangan penyejuk udara terhadap kenyamanan thermal dalam ruangan Laboratorium Prestasi Mesin. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membandingkan kondisi awal dengan varian penambahan penyejuk udara; penyejuk udara & 3 inhaust fan; penyejuk udara & 3 exhaust fa; penyejuk udara, 3 exhaust fan & buka pintu; Beban pendinginan kondisi awa l 4792,72 W dengan varian terbaik penyejuk udara & 3 exhaust fan 4750,91 W. Nilai PMV dan presentase PPD kondisi awal 3,94 dan 99,99 dengan varian terbaik varian penyejuk udara, 3 exhaust fan & buka pintu memiliki nilai PMV = 1,375 dan presentase PPD = 45,035 %. Kondisi awal memiliki presentase kelembaban relatif udara (RH) = 68,31 % dengan varian terbaik penyejuk udara & 3 exhaust fan memiliki presentase kelembaban udara relatif (RH) = 65,72 %. Penambahan penyejuk udara tidak memberikan pengaruh dalam penurunan beban pendinginan, belum efektif dalam perbaikan kelembaban udara relatif (RH), akan tetapi cukup dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan thermal Laboratorium Prestasi Mesin meskipun belum sesuai standar ASHRAE. | |||||||||
