Abstract
A research was aimed to know effect of two types of organic fertilizer and several varieties on the growth and crop lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) in the hydroponic system. The research was conducted in June until September 2014 at Bukit Baja Sejahtera. The research used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors. The first factor was concentration of liquid organic fertilizer which consisted of 3 levels, namely: 50% concentration of fertilizer pulp (P1), 50% bran fertilizer (P2), 50% pulp and bran fertilizer (P3). The second factor was variety which consisted of three levels namely : green varieties (V1), red rapid varieties (V2), red salad bowl varieties (V3). The observation were plants height (cm), leaf number (sheet) and plant weigh (g). The result showed that the best plant growth in the treatment of type liquid organic fertilizer bran concentration (P2) showed the best result at the age of 3 weeks after planting plant height (10.97 cm), and 4 weeks after planting (14.70 cm), while the number of leaf age 3 weeks after planting (5.65 sheets) and 4 weeks after planting (4.77 sheets) and the wet weight of the plant was (16.99 g). Varieties Red Salad treatment to plants height when 3 weeks after planting (10.60 cm) and 4 weeks after planting (14.31 cm), leaf number 3 weeks after planting (5.47 sheet) and leaf number 4 weeks after planting (4,55 sheet) and the wet weight of the plant was (17.77 g). There was interaction between the concentration of fertilizer types and varieties of the number of leaf age 2 weeks after planting (3.99 sheets) and 4 weeks after planting (4.77 sheets) on treatment P2V3

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dua jenis pupuk organik cair dan beberapa varietas terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.) pada sistem hidroponik. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai September 2014 di Bukit Baja Sejahtera. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama konsentrasi jenis pupuk organik cair yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu konsentrasi 50% pupuk ampas tahu (P1), 50% pupuk bekatul (P2), 50% pupuk ampas tahu+bekatul (P3). Faktor yang kedua terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu varietas Hijau (V1), varietas Red Rapid (V2), varietas Red Salad Bowl (V3). Pengamatan yang dilakukan yaitu: tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai) dan bobot basah tanaman (g). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pertumbuhan tanaman terbaik pada perlakuan jenis konsentrasi pupuk organik cair bekatul (P2) yang menunjukan hasil yang terbaik pada tinggi tanaman umur 3 MST (10,97 cm), umur 4 MST (14,70 cm), sedangkan untuk jumlah daun umur 3 MST (5,65 helai), dan umur 4 MST (4,77 helai),) dan pada bobot basah tanaman 18,99 g. Jenis varietas Red Rapid (V2) memiliki pengaruh yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman umur 3 MST (10,60 cm), dan umur 4 MST (14,31 cm), jumlah daun umur 3 MST (5,47 helai) dan umur 4 MST (4,55 helai) dan bobot basah tanaman 17,77 g. Terdapat interaksi antara konsentrasi jenis pupuk dan jenis varietas terhadap jumlah daun umur 2 MST (3,99 helai) dan umur 4 MST (4,77 helai) pada perlakuan P2V3. | |||||||||
