Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine cooperative learning modelTalking Chipstype influence toward motivation to learn and cognitive ability on photosynthesis subconcept. This research used quasi experiment method with randomized control group onlydesign. Population of this research was student’s of 8 th grade at SMP 15 Kota Serang academic year 2013/2014. The sample of this research was VIII G as a control class and VIII B as a experiment class. Sampling technique was a simple random sampling. Data was conducted by objective test, questionnaire and implementation of learning model observation sheets. Based on t test result at α = 0,05, it can be concluded that cooperative learning model Talking Chipstype has influence to motivation to learn and cognitive ability on photosynthesis subconcept.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe kancing gemerincing terhadap motivasi belajar dan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada subkonsep fotosintesis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimen dengan desain randomized control group only. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 15 Kota Serang tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII G sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel berupa simplerandom sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes objektif, angket dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil uji t pada α = 0,05, dapat disimpulkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe kancing gemerincing berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar dan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada subkonsep fotosintesis.
