Abstract
The purpose of this study wasto determine the influence of problem based learningmodeltoward student’s critical thinking ability in subconcept of the human reproductive system diseases. The research method was a quasi experimental with randomized control group onlydesign. The population of this research was all students of IXclass SMPN 2 Pontang in school year 2013/ 2014, the sample students of IX B class as an experiment class and students of IX C class a an control class and which determined byrandom sampling technique. Data collected by description test, questionnaire and observation sheets. Data analysis technique used t-test to examine the hypothesis. Therefore, it can be concluded thatproblem based learning model can effect toward the ability of student’s critical thinking in concept of the human reproductive system diseases.

| Additional Information: | Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada subkonsep penyakit sistem reproduksi manusia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan eksperimen semu, dengan desain penelitian randomized control group only.. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Pontang tahun ajaran 2013/2014, dengan sampel kelas IX B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IX C sebagai kelas kontrol, yang diambil dengan menggunkan teknik random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian, angket dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t (t-test) untuk menguji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada subkonsep penyakit sistem reproduksi manusia. | |||||||||
