Abstract

This research was conducted on the problem of congestion of vehicles on the Jalan Raya Serang Km. 71. Of the problems is exactly this research was conducted using the method of queuing Single Chanel Query System and Multi Chanel Query System, which aims to reveal the cars queuing system and figure out a solution with queuing model in addressing the queue car on the Jalan Raya Serang Km. 71. This research is applied research, carried out with regard to the practical realities, application, and development of knowledge generated by basic research in real life. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by using a queue with the queue model Single Chanel Query System and Multi Chanel Query System. The results showed that based on calculations queuing model, it produced that the use of two-lane roads is more optimal than using the facilities one lane in one direction. While one of the causes of congestion is the accumulation of public transport in the parking lane and it can cover most lanes and lanes that serve only part that can be passed by other riders. In this case, it is recommended that the acceleration time by public transport services in passenger increase to 55 seconds. Keywords: Queue, Capacity Strip, Service Time
