Abstract

This research is motivated by a problem that is low on the learning outcomes of students of natural science subjects and the lack of student involvement in the learning process. This is because learning is applied during this monotonous because it is centered on the teacher. Therefore, to solve the problem of learning structure SEQIP researchers applied in learning. The subjects in this study were 21 sixth grade students of SDN Cinangka III Serang Banten. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes and determine how large an increase in the activity of students on the subjects of Natural Sciences. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a research model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. This study was conducted for 2 cycles with 3 meetings. The instruments used are tests and observation. The results of this study, the learning outcomes and activities of students in science subjects has increased. In the pre-action mastery learning students only reached 43%. Later in the first cycle of mastery learning students increased to 62%. However, in the first cycle of this research has not reached success indicator is 80%. Furthermore, in the second cycle of mastery learning students has increased again to 86%. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the application of structure SEQIP learning can improve learning outcomes and student activities.
