Abstract
Research was conducted at one of the factories in the Village Beberan, Ciruas subdistrict, Serang - Banten that are a trading company focusing on the distribution and production of rice bran. Total availability of rice bran that can be caused by the rice harvest season makes unstable the amount of rice bran inventory every month. This research was conducted by using a calculation method Economic Order Quantity EOQ or with the purpose of assisting the company in determining the amount of the booking or the purchasing of raw materials and minimize inventory costs bran. These results indicate that the EOQ method is more effective used in bran order, and also more efficient in expenses for bran supplies. This is proven from the calculation of the total cost of inventory for 2014, which is more efficient than the EOQ method with a different company policies with the difference amounting to Rp6.166.875. And then in 2015 the EOQ method with the difference of Rp12.265.530. difference between the numbers generated can be due to the frequency of orders made, simply the greater number of frequencies booking will lead to increasing the amount of the total cost of inventory. Calculations done in 2016 for the coming months are starting from June to December, intend to provide information to the company in determining how much inventory should be ordered, when the time to perform reordering, and what the total cost of inventory.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian yang dilakukan di salah satu pabrik yang berada di Desa Beberan Kecamatan Ciruas, Serang – Banten ini adalah perusahaan dagang yang berfokus pada distribusi dan produksi dedak padi.Jumlah ketersediaan dedak padi yang dapat disebabkan oleh faktor musim panen padi membuat tidak stabilnya jumlah persediaan dedak padi setiap bulannya.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan perhitungan metode EOQ atau Economic Order Quantity dengan tujuan membantu perusahaan dalam menentukan jumlah pemesanan atau pembeliaan bahan baku dedak dan meminimumkan biaya persediaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa metode EOQ lebih efektif digunakan dalam pemesanan dedak, dan juga lebih efisien dalam pengeluaran biaya untuk persediaan dedak. Ini terbukti dari hasil perhitungan total biaya persediaan untuk tahun 2014, yang mana metode EOQ lebih hemat dibanding dengan kebijakan perusahaan dengan beda selisih sebesar Rp6.166.875. Dan juga pada tahun 2015 metode EOQ dengan selisih sebesar Rp12.265.530. Selisih jumlah yang ditimbulkan dapat dikarenakan frekeunsi pemesanan yang dilakukan, sederhananya semakin banyak jumlah frekuensi pemesanan maka akan mengakibatkan semakin besarnya total biaya persediaan. Perhitungan ditahun 2016 dilakukan untuk bulan-bulan mendatang yang terhitung sejak bulan Juni hingga Desember ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi kepada perusahaan dalam menentukan berapa jumlah persediaan yang harus dipesan, kapan waktu untuk melakukan pemesanan kembali, dan berapa total biaya persediaan | |||||||||
