Abstract

Fuel oil is a very important source of energy in human life and can be used easily for various purposes such as for vehicle or industrial machinery, but these fuels are not renewable. So that someday it will run out. The research was done by using solar, ethanol, and a surfactant. As for the percentage of the composition is an emulsion E5 5%, diesel fuel 93%, and 2% surfactant. E10 emulsion 10%, diesel fuel 88%, and 2% surfactant. E15 emulsion 15%, diesel fuel 83%, 2% surfactant. E20 emulsion 20%, diesel fuel 78%, 2% surfactant. Blending process is carried out using a CNC machine with a speed of 2200 rpm for 15 minutes and heat the fuel mixture to a temperature 70 v 0 C. Of studies have been conducted with the results of mechanical testing: Value moisture E5 2:13%, E10 1:28%, E15 2:14%, E20 1:13%. The calorific value of E5 10420 Kcal/Kg, E10 10360 Kcal/Kg, E15 10322 Kcal/Kg, E20 10273 Kcal/Kg. viakositas value Cst 3:51 E5, E10 Cst 3:51, 3:52 Cst E15, E20 3:52 Cst

Additional Information: Bahan bakar minyak merupakan sumber energi yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan manusia dan dapat digunakan dengan mudah untuk berbagai keperluan misalnya untuk kendaraan atau mesin industri, akan tetapi bahan bakar ini tidak dapat diperbaharui. Sehingga suatu saat nanti tentu akan habis. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan solar, ethanol, dan surfaktan. Adapun persentase komposisinya yakni E5 emulsi 5%, solar 93%, dan surfaktan 2%. E10 emulsi 10%, solar 88%, dan surfaktan 2%. E15 emulsi 15%, solar 83%, surfaktan 2%. E20 emulsi 20%, solar 78%, surfaktan 2%. Dilakukan proses blending menggunakan mesin CNC dengan kecepatan 2200 rpm selama 15 menit dan memanaskan campuran bahan bakar sampai suhu 70 0 c. Dari penelitian telah dilakukan pengujian mekanis dengan hasil: Nilai kadar air E5 2.13 %, E10 1.28 %, E15 2.14 %, E20 1.13 %. Nilai kalor E5 10420 Kcal/Kg, E10 10360 Kcal/Kg, E15 10322 Kcal/Kg, E20 10273. Nilai viakositas E5 3.51 Cst, E10 3.51 Cst, E15 3.52 Cst, E20 3.52 Cst.
