Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) the difference between the results of social studies using STAD cooperative learning model and conventional ; 2 ) the difference between the results of social studies students who have learning motivation high and low learning motivation; 3) the interaction between the use of cooperative learning model STAD and motivation toward learning outcomes IPS; 4) The difference between the results of social studies using STAD cooperative learning model with high learning motivation and learning outcomes using conventional IPS with high learning motivation; and 5) the difference between the results of social studies using STAD cooperative learning model with low learning motivation and learning outcomes using conventional IPS with low learning motivation . The study population was eighth grade students whereas the sample used was 54. This research was conducted in junior Insan Madani Tangerang. This study was conducted in November-December 2014. The method uses quasiexperimental research with data analysis by ANOVA two lanes. The results showed: 1) the results of the social studies using STAD cooperative learning model is better than the results of the use of conventional social studies, 2) the results of social studies students who have high motivation to learn better than students with low learning motivation; 3) there is an interaction effect between the use of cooperative learning model STAD and motivation toward learning outcomes IPS, 4 ) the results of the social studies learning model STAD cooperative learning and learning motivation high is higher than the results of the use of conventional IPS learning and motivation to learn high students, 5) Social learning outcomes between learning using cooperative learning model STAD and low learning motivation is lower than the results of social studies that use conventional and low learning motivation.

| Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) perbedaan hasil belajar IPS antara yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan konvensional; 2) perbedaan hasil belajar IPS antara siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi dan motivasi belajar rendah; 3) interaksi antara penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPS; 4) perbedaan hasil belajar IPS antara yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan motivasi belajar tinggi dan hasil belajar IPS yang menggunakan konvensional dengan motivasi belajar tinggi; dan 5) perbedaan hasil belajar IPS antara yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan motivasi belajar rendah dan hasil belajar IPS yang menggunakan konvensional dengan motivasi belajar rendah. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII sedangkan sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 54. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Insan Madani Kabupaten Tangerang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November – Desember 2014. Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperimen dengan analisis datanya melalui Anova dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) hasil belajar IPS yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih baik dari hasil belajar IPS yang menggunakan konvensional, 2) hasil belajar IPS siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi lebih baik dari siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah; 3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPS, 4) hasil belajar IPS antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan motivasi belajar tinggi lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar IPS yang menggunakan konvensional dan motivasi belajar siswa tinggi, 5) hasil belajar IPS antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan motivasi belajar rendah lebih rendah dari hasil belajar IPS yang menggunakan konvensional dan motivasi belajar rendah. | |||||||||
