Abstract
Money demand has an important role in monetary policy.Bank Indonesia as a monetary authority have a task to keep the stability of the domestic value of money. The economic and monetary crisis cause the domestic value of money is in depreciation, it give an impact in the unstability of domestic money demand. The aimed of this research is to find out influence of Gross Domestic Product (GDP),interest rate, exchange rate and the crisis dummy on money demand in Indonesia . This research used secondary data from 1990-2011 and the analysis used is multiple linear regression with Ordinary Least Squares (OLS ) method. The Results of the data analyzes is the effect the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and exchange rate have positive significant on money demand in Indonesia , and interest rate has no significant effect on money demand in Indonesia. Whereas the crisis dummy variable has no significant effect on money demand in Indonesia, with α = 5 percent . The value of coefficient determinant is R² = 0.906591 or 90.6591 percent. | Additional Information: | Permintaan uang memegang peranan penting dalam perilaku kebijakan moneter di setiap perekonomian, sehingga Bank Indonesia sebagai otoritas moneter mengemban tugas untuk mempertahankan kestabilan nilai mata uang dalam negeri. Terjadinya krisis ekonomi dan moneter mengakibatkan nilai mata uang dalam negeri terdepresiasi yang akan berdampak pada ketidakstabilan permintaan uang dalam negeri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh produk domestik bruto, suku bunga, kurs dan variabel dummy krisis terhadap permintaan uang di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dari tahun 1990-2011 dan analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode regresi linear berganda dengan metode kuadrat terkecil biasa (Ordinary Least Squares). Hasil analisis data yang didapat bahwa produk domestik bruto dan kurs berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap permintaan uang di Indonesia, dan suku bunga berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap permintaan uang di Indonesia. Sedangkan variabel dummy krisis berpengaruh negatif tidak signifikan terhadap permintaan uang di Indonesia dengan α = 5 persen. Secara bersama-sama produk domestik bruto, suku bunga, kurs dan variabel dummy krisis berpengaruh signifikan dengan R² sebesar 0.906591 atau 90.6591 persen.
