Abstract
The results of Learning English is the ability of students mastery English skills after he got a learning process provided by the teacher so that there is the changes that can be observed and measured. The methods of learning role playing is mastery for materials through the development of imagination and appreciation students. In the development of imagination and appreciation the students play as a character living or inanimate. Learning attitude is feeling happy or not happy, feeling agree or disagree, feeling like it or not classified into positive or negative form of the teacher, objectives, materials and other tasks as well. This study aimed to examine: (1) To determined the differences of students result in learning English between it was given by role playing method and conventional method to the students who were positive attitude response. (2) To determined the differences of students result in learning English between it was given by role playing method and conventional method to the students who were negative attitude response. (3) To determined the differences of students result in learning English between the students who were positive and negative attitude response which it was given by role playing method. (4) To determined the differences of students result in learning English between the students who were positive and negative attitude response which it was given by conventional method. (5) To understood the interaction effect of the method of learning and learning attitude towards English learning outcome. The study was conducted by using the experimental method with 2 x 2 factorial design study and took the sample of 60 students.The research showed that: 1). There was a roleplaying method influence on the results of English learning in the 7 grade of Mutiara Insani junior high school students. (F count = 9.933> Ftable = 4.00). 2) There was a learning attitude influence on the results of learning English in the 7 th grade of Mutiara Insani junior high school students Pearls F count> F table = (25,765 > 4.04). 3) There was an interaction between the method of role playing and learning attitude together the results of learning English in 7 th grade of Mutiara Insani junior high school students (of F = 5,348 > Ftable = 4.00); 4) The results of English learning used to role playing learning method was better than conventional method

| Additional Information: | Hasil Belajar Bahasa Inggris adalah kemampuan penguasaan keterampilan bahasa Inggris yang diperoleh siswa setelah ia menjalani proses belajar yang diberikan oleh guru sehingga terjadi perubahan yang dapat diamati dan dapat diukur. Metode pembelajaran role play suatu cara penguasaan bahan-bahan pelajaran melalui pengembangan imajinasi dan penghayatan siswa. Pengembangan imajinasi dan penghayatan dilakukan siswa dengan memerankannya sebagai tokoh hidup atau benda mati. Sikap belajar adalah perasaan senang atau tidak senang, perasaan setuju atau tidak setuju, perasaan suka atau tidak suka yang diklasifikasikan menjadi bentuk positif atau negatif terhadap guru, tujuan, materi dan tugas-tugas serta lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji : (1) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa antara yang diberi metode role playing dengan metode ceramah pada siswa yang bersikap positif. (2) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa antara yang diberi metode role playing dengan metode ceramah pada siswa yang bersikap negatif. (3) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang memunyai sikap positif dengan yang memunyai sikap negatif pada siswa yang diberi metode role playing. (4) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang memunyai sikap positif dengan yang memunyai sikap negatif pada siswa yang diberi metode ceramah. (5) Untuk mengetahui interaksi pengaruh metode belajar dan sikap belajar terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 siswa. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1). Terdapat pengaruh metode role playing terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa kelas VII di SMP Mutiara Insani. (Fhitung = 9,933 > Ftabel = 4,00). 2) Terdapat pengaruh sikap belajar terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa kelas VII di SMP Mutiara Insani nilai F hitung > F tabel = (25,765 > 4,04). 3) Terdapat interaksi antara metode role playing dan sikap belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa kelas VII di SMP Mutiara Insani (Fhitung = 5,348 > Ftabel = 4,00); 4) Hasil belajar bahasa Inggris yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran role playing lebih unggul daripada yang menggunakan metode ceramah | |||||||||
