Abstract

News about firing Kurdi Matin as Banten Province’s secretary get public attentions specially Banten people. The news what being headline in local media of Banten as long as two weeks be an interesting discussions around the Banten people because this firing seen controversial for some people who understood about politics and they suppose that will be a part of politics. Another people consider that the firing of Kurdi Matin as Banten Province’s secretary is a usual thing around bureaucrat and not must be blown up. Local media in Banten, package and frame this firing with many angles. In this research, media what being research objects are Indopos.co.id, Liputan6.com and newsmedia.co.id. this research aims to describe how the framing of news about firing of Banten Province’s secretary in online media Indopos.co.id, Liputan6.com and newsmedia.co.id.This research use construct of social reality theory with Zhongdan Pan and Gerald M Kosicki framing analysis methods. This research uses constructionist paradigm and qualitative approach. The results of this research showed that Indopos.co.id consider in Kurdi Matin side as a victim of Rano Karno in this firing. And then Liputan6.com performed that the media still indicated the objectivity of media reporting as an integrity media. The last, newsmedia.co.id is the new one and consider to show Rano Karno as Banten Governor with the right position in the firing of Kurdi Matin as Banten Province’s secretary.
