Abstract

The ornamental fish are now often cultivated that kind of goldfish. Many people who started raising goldfish because of his interest with the beauty of the fins, and color. Brightness is becoming one of the things that is observed by the public. One effort to improve the color of the goldfish can be done through the feed. Maggot is a natural food that can be used as agents of carotenoids to enhance the color of the fish. One source of natural carotenoids namely crab carapace and can be used as a source of nutrients for the larvae maggot that will be stored in the body maggot. Therefore the use of crab carapace flour to increase the color in a goldfish through the feed maggot this makes of things interesting for a researcher to observe an increase in the color of goldfish. The purpose of this study to determine the concentration of the addition of flour shell crab maggot the best in improving color goldfish. The method used is an experimental method. This research was conducted on March to June, 2016 at the Research Institute for Aquaculture Development Ornamental Fish Depok. Design of experiments using completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 Deuteronomy. Fish Used operates using oranda goldfish chef with weight ± 4.31 g. Eating fish by 5% Of Body Weight and maintained for 35 days by feeding larvae you see That Without Form given a crab carapace (0%), given a crab carapace 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10% of PKM. With the parameters observed that the brightness of the color (L, C, H, a and b), relative growth, the amount of feed intake and SR. Granting flour crab carapace of 2.5% (75 g) at 3000 g PKM media capable of absorbed by the maggot to improve the color and growth of goldfish, with an indication of the increasing a value of 26.35 and high total carotenoids on the scales, fins and skin goldfish amounted to 80.62, 117.08 and 55.60 µmol / g, as well as provide value relative growth 369.27% and the best feed consumption 61.80 g.
