Abstract

University 2014. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is a way to research, to complete and to evaluate the teaching management, done with four step : Planning, doing, observing and reflecting. The four steps make a cycle, done by collaboration between the teacher of class VII A as the researcher and his colleague to identify the problem, to make a plan, to do the action, to observe and to make reflection. The subject of research is the students of class VIIA SMP Banten Raya Cikulur Lebak. The data collected come from students and teachers. The data are students motivation to study, student’s achievement and effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. The technique of collecting the data is done through observation, interview, document analyzing and test. The research is analyzed in critic analysis descriptive, that is to describe the finding data and to compare with certain work indicator. The research using CTL method is held with collaborator’s observation and is reflected to improve the next action. The result in the first cycle of the meeting 1 and 2 indicated that the teacher activity belongs to category of fairly strong (40% and 53%). In the second cycle of the meeting 1, it belong category of strong (68%) and in the meeting 2 indicated very strong (90%). Student’s activity in group of having task, giving contribution and regarding friend’s opinion indicates increasing. In the last CAR, student’s motivation is in strong criteria (77%) covers : student’s motivation to learn geography lesson (76,47%), student’s care to learning (77,13%) and student’s perform to learn directing of geography lesson (76,76%). The learning achievement of geography lesson before classroom action on average grade of 58,55 with individual learning completion (>60) as many of 14 students (41,17%). After classroom action in the two cycles, the raising of learning achievement is happened. In the first cycle, the average grade is 60,51 with individual learning completion as many of 22 students (64,70%); in the second cycle, have raised grade is 65,00 with individual learning completion as many of 28 students (82,32%).

Additional Information: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) merupakan sarana untuk meneliti, menyempurnakan dan mengevaluasi pembelajaran, dilakukan dengan 4 tahap, yaitu perencanaan, implementasi, observasi dan refleksi. Keempat tahap tersebut membentuk siklus, dilakukan secara kolaboratif, subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA SMP Banten Raya Cikulur. Data berasal dari siswa dan guru, yaitu motivasi belajar siswa, prestasi belajar siswa dan efektifitas pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan, wawancara, analisis dokumen dan tes. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskripsi temuan data dan membandingkan dengan indicator kinerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Contextual Learning and Teaching dilaksanakan secara kolaborasi, pada siklus pertama pertemuan ke-1 dan ke-2 menunjukan motivasi termasuk kategori cukup (40% dan 53%). Siklus kedua pertemuan ke-1 dalam kategori kuat (68%), dan pada pertemuan ke-2 menunjukan kategori sangat kuat (90%). Aktivitas siswa dalam kelompok yang meliputi berada dalam tugas, memberi kontribusi dan menghargai pendapat teman menunjukan peningkatan. Pada akhir PTK motivasi belajar siswa dalam kriteria kuat (77%) meliputi dorongan siswa untuk mempelajari IPS geografi (76,74%), perhatian siswa terhadap pembelajaran (77,13%) dan arahan perbuatan belajar siswa untuk belajar IPS geografi (76,76%). Prestasi belajar sebelum tindakan kelas rata-rata 58,55 ketuntasan individual sebanyak 14 siswa (41,17%). Setelah tindakan kelas pada siklus pertama nilai rata-rata 60,51 dengan ketuntasan individual 22 siswa (64,70%), siklus kedua nilai rata-rata mencapai 65,00 dengan ketuntasan individual sebanyak 28 siswa (82,32%).
