Abstract

This study was conducted of the foam material inventory control problems at CV.Giri Makaryo. Of the problems is exactly this research was conducted using Economic Order Quantity or EOQ which aims to find out which supplier is more efficient than the third-party supplier with a view of the results of the total cost of a smaller inventory issued to the foam material in CV.Giri Makaryo using EOQ. This research is descriptive with quantitative approach, where the study was conducted by collecting, summarizing and interpreting the data obtained so as to generate a picture of the foam material inventory in CV.Giri Makaryo. The acquired data was analyzed using the methods of forecasting, Economic Order Quantity, Reorder Point and Safety Stock. The results of this study are based on the calculation EOQ foam material for 2015, found that according to the results of the EOQ method, supplier A more efficient than the supplier or the supplier B and C. With a total cost to be incurred is the contents of different types of pillows Rp60.330.860, -, bolsters the contents of Rp91.446.900, -, sofa cushions for Rp33.602.080, -, bolsters sofa for Rp33.379.510, -, love pillows for Rp86.947.060, -, floor cushions for Rp14.337.800, -, pillows full Rp14. 915 900, -, and bolsters full of Rp2.366.117. -.
